Busy Week Ahead

Posted under Family News

We’ll have a lot to do this week, but it should be fun. I’m going to try to squeeze in a trip to the outdoor pool too, but we’ll have to see how things go.

Starting tomorrow the girls have Star Struck every morning. It should be lots of fun, and it will be nice to see Autumn again. It’ll be fun to see what songs the girls do, and also to see how many kids are participating.

Des also has 2 softball games this week. One of them is tomorrow, and one on Friday. Dad should be home for the one on Friday, so that will make Des’s evening. We’ve spent several evenings practicing catching, and some batting. Meg is even getting pretty good at catching.

Hi ho hi ho it’s off to work I go.

A Nice Day

Posted under Family News

A bit warm when you add in the humidity, but that didn’t stop us from having a nice day.

We went and moved Chief’s corral around so he could have grass for a few days. We also fly sprayed him which is a good thing this time of year.

After that we decided to go swimming at a nearby indoor pool. It would have been nice if the outdoor pool had been open, but they don’t open until Tuesday.

After swimming we went out to eat. Than came home and had a nice evening here at home.

Chief

Posted under Family News

Meg and I went over yesterday morning to work with Chief for a little while. I ended up finding 3 dead kittens, and 1 that was still alive. So most of my working time was consumed with disposing of the poor babies. However I did work with Chief for a little while. I didn’t get hands on him, but he did enjoy running his circles around the corral.

We brought the live kitten home. After getting some food and milk into him, he seems to be doing well. I couldn’t leave the little one to starve, as it’s just not in me to do so. I figure he’s about 2 weeks old.

I went over again this morning to feed Chief, and got hands on him. It didn’t take anything at all this morning. He’s such a funny boy. I’m thinking maybe this evening I’ll take his rope over, and see if I can catch him.

Mommy World

Posted under Family News

A lot has been happening in my “mommy world” lately.

The girls got out of school on Friday. All in all it was a good year. Des doesn’t know whether to be happy or sad that she is having the same teacher again next year. Can’t say as I blame her, as we did have quite a few issues with this particular teacher, but I’m hoping we got those straightened out, so that we have an easier time of it next year.

Megan told me she wanted to stay in 2nd grade, because she didn’t want to leave her teacher. *S* I admitt her teacher was wonderful beyond belief!! However I think she’s convinced that her teacher wouldn’t want her to stay in 2nd grade, and that she will still be able to see her old teacher.

We had Meg’s birthday party on Saturday. It was a roaring sucess! Meg was able to have 3 friends over, and 1 even got to spend the night! On top of that Mom, my 2 brothers, my 2 sisters, and one of their boyfriends got to come also! We surely missed Sue’s Daniel, but understood that he was working.

Tonight Des had her first softball game, and her team won!!! I was so happy for her, and the rest of the team. Des was a bit disappointed in herself, because she didn’t do all that well at batting, but there is always next game, and she didn’t let her bother her too much, as she got right back in the game. I’m sure it would help if I could pitch better, so she could practice more.

Anyway, I’m off to do other entries.

Pioneer Electronics

Posted under Piggy Bank

I’ve had many types of electronic gizmos over the years. I’ve had many different brands, and found my favorites. If I know what I want, I like shopping online for my electronics as well. That’s why I like sites like Become.com.

At this site, you can search for your favorite brands, like this search for Pioneer brand electronics.

Pioneer Is my favorite brand of radio to have in my car.

I have found that Pioneer has quaility, as well as varying prices to fit my budget.

No Softball

Posted under Family News

Softball practice was canceled again. It was canceled early on Monday, due to rain. Today the rain held off until about 4:30, so we had hopes of having practice, but it ended up being canceled.

I got the game schedule. 2 games per week, which doesn’t bother me, except some of the games aren’t really local. Not really far away, but far enough that I say “ugh” when I think of having to drive there.

I also got the girls signed up for Star Struck which is the first week of June. I put swimming lessons and soccer on our bills calendar so we will be prepared for the fees.

Happy Mother’s Day

Posted under Family News

Here it is just a few minutes after 7am and I have the house peacefully to myself at the moment, which is quite unusual as Dad is usually up when I get up.

I did realize I am once again falling down on the job of blogging, as i’ts been about 2 weeks since my last entry, bad me! Anyway that should change in the upcoming week or so, as I am planning on doing quite a bit of blogging and work online. Plus I recently got a book to help me design websites, so I will be working on doing that.

I have never done anything remotely close to designing and building a website, but I have always wanted personalized themes for all my blogs, and I also wanted to design and build a website for The Burlington Opry.

I started looking for backgrounds and such yesterday for the Opry website. I still have a long way to go before I’m ready to try and put it together. I need to sit down, and plan out the text for the home page, and also I need to get some pictures and maybe short video clips of the band and preformers. Yep, still a lot of planning to be done!!!

The themes for my blogs shouldn’t be that time consuming as basically I’m just making the layout for a blog, the text is already provided…Still it will be an interesting experience. Who knows, maybe I will be really good at it, and enjoy doing it.

Anyway I don’t suppose this was much of a Mother’s Day entry, but such is life. Check out my other blogs to find more updates.
