Family News I didn’t realize time had flown by so fast. Here it is a little over a week since my last entry here.
Things have been busy, as usual. Des and her softball team are 2-1. The game on Tuesday was canceled due to a severe tunderstorm in the area. She has another game tomorrow.
We finally got up to Kansas City and got Des’s contacts ordered. It only took two trips to do it. We went up on Monday only to find out that the Dr’s were not in the office, so we had to go all the way back up there on Tuesday. It really wasn’t so bad because Adam drove for us.

Family News It’s not often that I get, or even want time to myself. I usually take care of that by staying up after the girls are in bed and reading or something like that.
I do enjoy going to kareoke occasionally. I don’t sing, but enjoy listening to others sing, especially when a group of my brothers and sisters come along. It’s not often that we can get the whole group of us together, but at least one or two can come. Maybe next time we can get the whole group together.

Family News Last night was loads of fun, even though I did have my own problems.
The girls did a great job last night!! I am so proud of them! The other performances were just as good, and I really enjoyed them.
I was taking a bunch of pictures all the way through the show, because I need pictures for the Opry website I am working on. Right before the girls’ performance my batteries in the camera died. I wasn’t concerned, as I knew I had extras in my purse, so I popped those in, only to find out those batteries were DEAD too!!! I was soooooo upset!!!!
Dave said that he would get me a copy of the dvd. HOPEFULLY the dvd came out decent, so I will have some record of the girls’ performance.

Family News Well tomorrow is the big night. The girls once again perform at the Burlington Opry. They are excited, and not nearly so nervous as last time, which is good. I know they will have fun.
They are doing well with their song, although Meg forgets to do some of the motions. I think it is a little much for her to remember all of the motions and the words too, but she tries, and does well. The most important things is the words to the song, and she doesn’t have a problem with that, so all is good!!

Family News The girls are getting ready for bed. I want to read with them tonight. Seems like forever since we’ve read together, but in fact it’s only been a little over a week.
They are full of energy tonight. Me, I’m just tired. I was up until 2am doing laundry and dishes, because I didn’t want to run the dishwasher or dryer during the day when it’s hot. As it turned out, today wasn’t all that hot. We turned off the ac and opened windows. It was warm in here, but not unbearable. The ac doesn’t seem to really help all that much anyway, but I guess I can’t expect too much since it is an older trailer.
Tomorrow we have Star Struck, and then we are going to Emporia. I’m going to pick Chief up some fly spray, look at dress shoes for the girls, and also I’m going to look for a cd that has Xxx’s and Ooo’s, so we can listen to it anytime. It will make it easier for the girls to practice their song. With any luck, I’ll get a softball glove too. I didn’t really think I would be playing enough to need one, but I have been. I was even playing with Des, and Jara, and Alli before the game last night. I know the one I want, I just hope Walmart still has it.
Well I’m off to read with the girls, and then it’s back to work for me for a little while.
