Alex

Posted under Family News

I don’t know what the poor boy tangled with last night, but now part of his face is slightly swollen. Doesn’t look like a snake bite, and isn’t any worse today that last night, but we are keeping an eye on it.

No more late night ventures outside without a chaparone to make sure he stays out of trouble. I can’t really afford a VET bill if I can keep from it!

Travel Emergency

Posted under Piggy Bank

I wonder what kind of travel emergency you might have had.

I myself can’t really say I’ve had all that many. When I moved from Las Vegas back to Kansas there was an issue of 2 blown tires on the trailer we were pulling. And there was a time when one or both of the girls would get carsick if they were in the car for more than half an hour…That was always fun.

I try to be prepared to the best of my ability. Carrying extra clothes, jackets in case the weather turns chilly, barf bags, and other such things. Being prepared is the first line of defense in my opinion.

Deadbolt Locks

Posted under Piggy Bank

I can only think of 2 places that I’ve lived where I thought deadbolt locks were necesary. One was Ottawa, and the other was Las Vegas. Most of the time that I’ve lived, most of the places I’ve lived have either been way out in the middle of nowhere, or in small rinky dink towns that aren’t on most maps, no matter how good the map is. I like it that way though. I prefer to be out in the middle of nowhere, where I can live in peace, with my animals surrounding me. Without the constraints of city ordinances and such things.

Outdoor Chaise Lounges

Posted under Piggy Bank

Someday, when we get our own place we will have an outdoor area. Someplace to sit outside and enjoy whatever weather is upon us at that time. Someplace we can sit and take a break from whatever work and chores we are busy doing.

I haven’t thought far enough to decide if I want something like the outdoor chaise lounges, or if I want something more like indoor chairs made for the outside, or maybe we will just get 4 or 5 of the fold up camping chairs.

Baby Clothes

Posted under Piggy Bank

I remember when the girls were babies. It was hard for me to find what I thought were really cute baby clothes. There were tons of cute toddler clothes, but baby clothes, well, they were hard to come by.

However these last couple of years I’ve seen nothing but adorable baby clothes, both for girls and for boys. Yes I want baby clothes to be servicable, but I also like them to be cute too!

Pink Ties

Posted under Piggy Bank

There are a very select few men that can wear pink ties or pink shirts and make it look good. My Dad is one of them, depending on the shade of pink that is. He is one that cannot do the pale/pastel pink. He need a bit brighter pink…not neon mind you, but like a bubblegum pink.

I’ve seen acouple of other guys that look really nice in pink, but a softer more pastel pink.

And there are some, in my opinion that can carry off a tie, but can’t carry off a shirt.

IWC

Posted under Piggy Bank

I’m not much of a watch person anymore. I used to wear a watch all the time, but got tired of the batteries dying or most usually the watchband breaking. I was hard on watches, I admit it. However maybe if I had a IWC watch, I wouldn’t have had that problem.

Once upon a time IWC was an American company which produced watches in Switzerland for the US market. However in 1868, the company moved its headquarters Switzerland.

Custom USB Drives

Posted under Piggy Bank

I was looking at custom usb drives tonight and was amazed by what they have out nowadays. It’s just incredible what they have done with them.

I did laugh at acouple of them, I just had to…Like the heart shaped one, and the truck shaped one.

I really did like the keyboard vacuum that plugs into a usb port. I really need to look into getting one of those, and the price is right!

I need to look into getting a usb flash drive anyway, and I think this site might be the one I shop at.

Sorry

Posted under Family News

Didn’t realize it had been a week since my last entry.

I have been busy around here with this and that.

I took my car to the shop again yesterday, and was told that I needed new tires all the way around. YUCK!!! I got used tires to get me by a few days, but tomorrow I have to get the new ones ordered and get them put on. That’s $400 that I wish we didn’t have to spend right now. We were hoping to make some headway on our accounts, but that won’t happen now.

A break at some point would be nice ya know!!!

Cheap Insurance

Posted under Piggy Bank

I wish I could say there was such a thing as cheap insurance, but I think it’s a matter of some insurance being cheaper, but not exactly cheap. I have no real complaints about the price that I pay for insurance. Especially since they did not raise my rates after my two accidents, which completely shocked me. I expected them to raise the rate out of sight, but they took my previous driving record into account, which was really awesome.
