Family News I don’t know what the poor boy tangled with last night, but now part of his face is slightly swollen. Doesn’t look like a snake bite, and isn’t any worse today that last night, but we are keeping an eye on it.
No more late night ventures outside without a chaparone to make sure he stays out of trouble. I can’t really afford a VET bill if I can keep from it!

Piggy Bank I wonder what kind of travel emergency you might have had.
I myself can’t really say I’ve had all that many. When I moved from Las Vegas back to Kansas there was an issue of 2 blown tires on the trailer we were pulling. And there was a time when one or both of the girls would get carsick if they were in the car for more than half an hour…That was always fun.
I try to be prepared to the best of my ability. Carrying extra clothes, jackets in case the weather turns chilly, barf bags, and other such things. Being prepared is the first line of defense in my opinion.

Piggy Bank I can only think of 2 places that I’ve lived where I thought deadbolt locks were necesary. One was Ottawa, and the other was Las Vegas. Most of the time that I’ve lived, most of the places I’ve lived have either been way out in the middle of nowhere, or in small rinky dink towns that aren’t on most maps, no matter how good the map is. I like it that way though. I prefer to be out in the middle of nowhere, where I can live in peace, with my animals surrounding me. Without the constraints of city ordinances and such things.

Piggy Bank Someday, when we get our own place we will have an outdoor area. Someplace to sit outside and enjoy whatever weather is upon us at that time. Someplace we can sit and take a break from whatever work and chores we are busy doing.
I haven’t thought far enough to decide if I want something like the outdoor chaise lounges, or if I want something more like indoor chairs made for the outside, or maybe we will just get 4 or 5 of the fold up camping chairs.
