Family News Megan and I are going into the Dr. today because of horrible allergies. I will be getting another shot for my allergies which suits me fine, as they seem to work really well.
I’m not sure what the Dr. will want to do about Meg’s allergies. Probably a medicine or two to try and keep them under control.
While we are in town we are going to take care of acouple of other errands. Dad might be home tonight. Other than not knowing what to fix for dinner, I don’t mind him being home.

Family News The day started out fine, and then went downhill pretty quickly. I told the girls to be home at a certain time, they show up 45 minutes late. Tried every excuse in the book to get out of trouble, than had the nerve to ask if they could go back to their friend’s house. We have had plans for tonight since July 3, and yet they decided that they no longer wanted to do that, but would rather go play with their friend, even though they had been over their most of the day.
Anyway, after a rather heated discussion I tell them to call their Grandfather and tell him the difficulties. I thought he would back me up with how disrespectful and disobedient they were in coming home late, and how unbelievable it was for them to expect to be able to go back today….I however was mistaken. He asked me what I expected him to do when he was 50 miles away…..and then he told the girls that perhaps if they asked me nicely that I would let them go….Gee thanks Dad, lets really teach them that it’s okay to be late and their will be no consequences.
If I can’t trust them to be home on time, as this isn’t the first time, in fact 9 and 1/2 times out of 10 they are late, can I trust them at any other time? If they don’t obey me enough to be home on time, are they going to obey me at any other time? My answer to these question is “no”. They have to learn to obey, and I have to be able to trust them….
Anyway, there were some other things that went wrong, but I won’t get into it tonight.

Family News Well here it is Friday night. The girls are having a friend stay the night again. I’m not exactly thrilled, but Dad gave them permission. There are conditions on this though, they are to spend the next two nights at home, without friends, and they are not going to be gone dawn til dark either of those days either.
At least it’s only one and not two. The younger one I have problems with, not serious problems, but enough to irritate me.
The girls are going to have to start taking more responsibility in having friends over, to make sure that stuff gets picked up and put away, and also that they follow the rules. Yes I believe that is partly up to the girls, as it’s their friends.

Family News It’s been raining since Sunday. Not constantly thank goodness, but still enough rain to make me tired of it. One good thing about the rain is that it is keeping the temperature down, which is nice, but we can’t go out and do much, or we end up soaked.
It even rained the evening/night of the 4th, which put a damper on fireworks. We didn’t even have any fireworks, as we chose to spend that money on more important things. The girls were a bit disapointed, but they understood.

Family News Just a quick note tonight because I am beyond tired.
Things have been so busy here. This week I plan on just kicking back and relaxing here at home for the most part. We need a break from all the running. It’s been really fun though. Star Struck, Des’ softball, swimming lessons, trips to the pool, a few trips to KC, a trip to Topeka….yep it’s been fun, but oh so tiring. This week we only have one or two things planned, so it will be nice to relax a little.
Anyway, I’m off to bed I think…to sleep for a few days…*LOL* I wish!!!

Family News Well Des and her team made it to the softball championship game, which was tonight.
The game was exciting, and well worth the trip to see, even if Des hadn’t been on the team. Of course with her on the team I wouldn’t have missed it for the world. Dad was even home in time to go, which made it all the better for Des!!
Both teams played a heck of a game. There were a few bobbles on both sides, but I am proud to say that Des was not one of them that made any mistakes. She was very disappointed in herself because she struck out twice, but the other team had a very good pitcher, and many of her other teammates struck out as well.
In anycase, the game went into overtime, tied 5-5. Unfortunetely the other team was up to bat first, and scored to win the game. Des is not all that disappointed, because wow, a championship game her first year playing!!
I am so proud of her!!! She was the most improved player on the team, so her coach said, and I agree. She had a lot of fun, and plans are already to play again next year!!
