A Good Break

Posted under Family News

The girls last day of school was Tuesday. Dad came home on Wednesday. So we’ve all had a nice break here at home.

The girls helped me make the pumpkin pies on Wednesday. They had a lot of fun learning how to make the pie crusts, and the filling. They got to play with the leftover dough, which made them happy. Thursday they helped me make the fruit salad, sweet potatoes, yeast rolls, mashed potatoes, and the ham. Yes, they had fun, and so did I!!

You know I remember helping with the big dinners, but I don’t remember my Mother instructing me on what to do. I don’t remember her guiding my hands as I crimped the pie crusts, or her letting me measure the ingrediants for yeast rolls. I’m happy that my girls will remember these times with me!!

Posted under Piggy Bank

Sometimes wouldn’t it be nice to have a “click here” button for whatever you want. “Click here” if you’re tired, stressed, worried, in need of some “me” time. *LOL* Just before Thanksgiving that’s how I was feeling. I really felt that I needed some “me” time. Now it’s not so bad. We’ve had several days to just kick back and relax, so I’m not feeling so out of sorts anymore. Some me time would be nice, but you know what, hanging out with my girls and Dad has been great these past few days. Listening to music, watching tv, doing puzzles, it’s been very nice and relaxing.

Best Male Enhancement

Posted under Piggy Bank

Now here’s an interesting topic of conversation. What do you think would be the best best male enhancement? Oh I’m not just talking physically…Physical attributes really don’t mean that much to me.

Take Murdock, from The A-Team, for an example. In most people’s standards he probably wasn’t handsome, but I’ve given this alot of thought lately, and he is the kind of man that I would be interested in marrying. He’s funny, and sweet, incredibly loyal, and yes, just a bit crazy.

Colon Cleanse

Posted under Piggy Bank

Hmm, isn’t it cranberry juice that is a colon cleanser? I don’t remember, but anyway, I think it is, which means that cranberry sauce should work to, right? Since I had cranberry sauce at Thanksgiving, and will be having it again at Christmas and probably New Year’s, my colon should be cleaned for awhile. Oh wait, do women have colons? I don’t remember now. I’m in a silly mood tonight if you couldn’t tell.

Anti Aging Products

Posted under Piggy Bank

Who needs anti aging products when it’s almost Christmas?? Christmas always makes me feel like a kid again. The shopping, the decorating, the cooking. It’s magic to me, even at 31 my eyes still sparkle with joy when we decorate the tree and the house. I’m eager to cook Christmas dinner, because I like to see everyone groan with pleasure because they’ve eaten too much.

Shopping to find just the right gift for those that I love. Yes, Christmas is magic to me!

Payday Loans

Posted under Piggy Bank

It’s so easy to fall into the trap of payday loans, but really it’s the same as credit cards, once you’re in, it’s hard to get out again….*LOL* Kind of like the MOB.

I will say that there have been times when I’ve thought about getting a payday loan, but I’ve always stopped myself, because I’ve seen the results of them.

Go-Arounds

Posted under Family News

It’s been a rough week with the girls. I’ve had some go-arounds with them, and have been disappointed in them as well.

Schoolwork, or more accurately homework has been one of the go-arounds this week. The tv or playing is so much more interesting than homework, or at least so they think. I try to stay on the sidelines when it comes to certain things….Like a math test I knew was coming up today, and acouple of times this past week I asked if she was ready for this test, she said “yes” although I knew she hadn’t committed a lot of time to studying. Turns out she wasn’t quite as ready as she said….so, out comes Mom from the sidelines.

I used one test as an example, but there have been other instances with both of them. Needless to say they aren’t exactly happy that I’ve come off the sidelines, but as soon as I see them turning things around again, I will slide back a bit. Education and good grades, but they need to realize that themselves, not always have me hanging over their shoulder’s.

Lingerie

Posted under Piggy Bank

Here I’ve been sitting for days, thinking of what I’d like to get my family for Christmas. I was thinking about what to get my Mom for Christmas. I find buying something for her is difficult. I mean she’s Mom, she’s happy with anything we give her, but I want to give her something that she REALLY likes.

I was thinking about lingerie….*LOL* She loves fancy lingerie, but somehow I don’t see me giving it to her for Christmas. *LOL*…Maybe I’ll just get her a gift card.

Fat Burner

Posted under Piggy Bank

It seems that fat burners, diet supplements, and other weight loss programs come out at the same time that Christmas decorations do.

Really what is the obsession people have with their weight?? Okay, yes I want to look good too, but I’m not obsessed about it. I don’t count calories, or fat content. I’m not a vegatarian, or a vegan….I still drink soda, I still eat candy, cakes and other desserts. I mean really to me it’s just a matter of exercise and moderating the amount of things that I eat.

Diet Supplement Reviews

Posted under Piggy Bank

Reading diet supplement reviews can be helpful. Of course I think that reading reviews about anything can be helpful.

After reading reviews I decided which camera I want to buy. I did the same with the bikes that I want to buy the girls for Christmas. Hearing other people’s feedback on the same products that I’m considering buying, help me to decide if it is truly the one I want.
