Crafting

Posted under Family News

I worked on my crib quilt tonight for the first time in a few weeks. I was working on it a lot, but then I came down with a major sinus infection and didn’t feel like doing anything, so it got put to the side. Anyway I’m working on the backstitch detail work. There’s a lot of it, but I’m making good progress. I’m guessing if I put a lot of time into it, I could have it ready to put together in a week or so.

I ordered the quilt blocks so that I can make each of the girls quilts. I let them pick the pattern, and they picked some really cool ones. Des is getting intertwining hearts, and Meg is getting an octogon shape with a flower inside. I’ll have to take them on a trip up to Topeka to let them pick out the colors they want for the quilts.

Anyway, I was going to finish up here, and then work on my crib quilt a bit more, but I’m getting tired, so I think I’ll get a light snack, and head off to bed.

Artwork Prints

Posted under Piggy Bank

To me the term “artwork prints” could cover a large area. What is art to one person, isn’t art to another person.

I like pictures, and artwork of wild animals. That’s always been my thing, especially ones of horses, wolves, and big cats. In fact I saw this most awesome counted cross-stitch kit for an amazing picture of a male lion. It was just awesome!!! Maybe when I get some of my current projects done and out of the way I can get it.

Slimming Pills

Posted under Piggy Bank

I’m not sure whether slimming pills is really what I’m looking for, but you see I have a poochy tummy that I absolutely hate!! I’ve lost some weight over the last year or so, but the tummy stays with me. Ugh!

I had someone tell me that I was cute the other night. It was nice to hear, but I don’t really believe it. I don’t really have the build for cute, or pretty. I’m stocky, or big boned, or whatever you want to call it.

Storage Food

Posted under Piggy Bank

I have all sorts of storage food containers. I think my favorites are a bowl set, complete with tight fitting lids, that I got from Tupperware a few years ago.

I have all sorts of pans and dishes too. Dad pretty much completed my collection a few days ago with some high quality cookie sheets, and a couple of glass bread pans. So I can pretty much make anything I want, and have the containers to store it in too.

Weight Loss Pills

Posted under Piggy Bank

I know some of my blog entries get a bit repetitive, and weight loss pills is one of them. All I can say is that I do the assignments they send me, while also trying to give them a personal touch. To write what I truly feel about the subject.

Someone asked me why I do the work I do, was it for the money?? The answer to that is “I write for myself most of all, getting paid for some of them is just a bonus.”

Natural Sleep Aid

Posted under Piggy Bank

A good natural sleep aid is hard work, or maybe I should term that as “staying busy”. I’m not saying you have to go out for a 20 mile hike, or anything like that, I’m just saying that staying busy is a good way to feel ready for bed.

I’ve been busy here at home today, and I’m feeling calm and relaxed. I’m going to finish up a few blogging things, and then perhaps finish up a section on the crib quilt that I’m working on, and then I’ll be ready for bed.

Hydroxycut Reviews

Posted under Piggy Bank

You know reviews are great. It gives you a look at what other customers have thought of a particular item.

Perhaps if I were more interested in the hydroxycut reviews I would make it a point to go read them, but right now I just have too many other things that take my time. However for those of you that are interested in Hydroxycut, I strongly recommend reading the reviews.

Busy Day

Posted under Family News

Well I’ve gotten a lot accomplished today, so I’m happy with myself.

Washed, dried, and folded a bunch of laundry. Swept the kitchen, and vacuumed the livingroom and the girls’ room. Cleaned the litter pans of course, as that is a daily occurance here. I helped the girls make their beds, and did a whole bunch of work earlier today. I also made dinner.

Now I’m back to finish up the last few work items, and then maybe work on my quilt a bit.

Edmonton Home Builders

Posted under Piggy Bank

I’m always talking about my dream home, and I enjoy looking at pictures or websites of homes. Kind of like window shopping.

I ran across the Edmonton home builders. Their site is pretty awesome! They show available homes on the market and where they are located.

They build condos, town homes, single family homes, bungalows, two-story duplexes. I, of course was interested in the single family homes, and I must say that they have some really nice homes!

I was also impressed to find out that they were named one of the top Home Builders by Canadian Home Builder’s Association in 2010. I think that says a lot about the company.

MBA Management

Posted under Piggy Bank

You hear a lot about mba management and other business type classes now. Everyday that I listen to the radio I hear advertisements about different colleges that are all for advancing your place on the job, by offering business management, mba management, and other related courses. There are even several that you can do online, so you can study whenever you have the time. It’s pretty cool.
