Plantation Shutter

Posted under Piggy Bank

The plantation shutters were on the ground, or hanging precariously from the windows. The paint was peeling so badly that in most places it had already worn itself completely away. The yard was filled with weeds, and fallen tree limbs. The fountain that graced the circle driveway was cracked and falling apart, and yet as she looked at all the damage and destruction, she knew this was home.

A Wonderful Day

Posted under Family News

Yesterday was just a great day. We went up to see my Mom in Council Grove. We hadn’t seen her since Dizzy’s birthday, so it had been quite a long time ago.

It’s kind of a long trip, as it takes about 2 hours to get there, but the girls entertained themselves by doing some schoolwork. After we got there we got to sit and visit for awhile. The girls had a lot of fun with the baby that Mom babysits for, and they had a lot of fun with my brother’s puppy. *LOL* The puppy is a 2 year old Mastiff. Des was thrilled, as she hadn’t seen a mastiff in real life.

Went out to eat for dinner, the girls went to the park with my brother. All in all it was a fantastic day!! We didn’t want to come home last night, but alas the horse needed fed and the dog had to go out, so staying wasn’t an option.

RV Financing

Posted under Piggy Bank

Getting rv financing is one of the last things I’m concerned about right at the moment. Actually as of this moment I’m not really concerned about anything. Things are going good!! The girls and I love that we are homeschooling again.

The house is cleanish…*LOL* Still have some laundry to finish up, and the litter pans need cleaned. The litter pans will be done tonight, the laundry will probably wait. Oh and the bathroom needs a cleaning, but I’m not worried about it tonight. I’m just enjoying a nice quiet evening.

Prescription Glasses

Posted under Piggy Bank

I never really minded wearing prescription glasses until I got my contacts, and then I never wanted to wear glasses again. I’ve loved contacts ever since then. Although there are days when my eyes feel tired, or gritty, so I do wear my glasses instead. I would not be happy if I had to wear glasses every day again though. I’ve found too much freedom in contacts. No glasses sliding down my nose on hot humid days, no fogging up in the winter, and no rain spots when it’s a rainy day.

Personal Loan

Posted under Piggy Bank

There are times when a personal loan would be nice. I got one once, and it helped me get through a tough spot, but really they are more trouble (ie:money) than they are worth if you have any other options!!

Dad and I are working to get to where we don’t have any bills other than our regular ones that can’t be paid off, like the electric, propane, internet, and such. We’ve made great strides towards that goal in the last year, and plan to continue to make progress towards that end.
