My Baby

Today marks the 10th birthday of my youngest daughter. It’s hard to imagine her being 10 years old. Wasn’t it just yesterday that I could hold her tiny body with one arm?

My miracle baby. A doctor had told me that I couldn’t get pregnant again, because of some medical problems I had a few months after Des was born. Oh how wrong that Dr. was. *LOL* I’ve never been sorry that she came as a suprise.

I remember so much about her younger years. Such a quiet happy baby she was. *LOL* Not at all like my fussy Des. Although she was such a quiet baby, today she is quite the opposite. *LOL* Non stop chattering now. I will admit sometimes I would like some quiet, but on the rare occasions that the house is quiet, I miss her chattering.

In any case, I must move along, as today is her special day, so I’m trying to hurry through my work so that I can spend my time with her and Des.

Stackable Rings

She slowly opened the envelope, closed her eyes and pulled out the papers……She opened her eyes, looked immediately to one of the stackable rings that she wore today. Her Father had given her this ring just a few months ago, for her birthday. The ring’s message read “Always My Heart”. She looked from the ring to the papers she held in front of her.

She squeezed her eyes shut tightly to let the wave of emotion pass.

Disability Application

If she hadn’t accidently seen a copy of some of her Father’s paperwork that he was filing along with his disability application, she never would have believed that they would keep something like that from her.

She had argued with herself about whether or not she should confront her parents straight out about this, but had finally decided against it. Her parents had enough to deal with at the moment, and even though she was being ripped apart by the thoughts and emotions that went along with this discovery, she would not add to their troubles, just to ease her own.

DNA Experts

She took a deep breath as she sat looking at the large manilla envelope that lay on her desk in front of her. The envelope had the return address of the dna experts she had hired, printed in the upper lefthand corner. The envelope held the papers telling her if she truly did belong to the Mother and Father that had raised her.

Recently she had come across a few clues indicating that she had been adopted, but it was something that she had never been told.

Gold Rush Alaska is an Adrenaline Rush

I have enjoyed watching Gold Rush Alaska from the first episode. This show features a group of inexperienced, debt-riddled Oregon men seeking fortune in Alaska. Every episode has commanded my undivided attention as these men attempt to overcome obstacles in the path of their mining for gold.

I was thrilled when the show became available for me to view free On Demand. My job requires me to travel often which prevents me from watching Gold Rush Alaska when it airs on Discovery Channel. I am grateful to have the luxury of watching this show on my www.direct.tv when I return from a work trip. I am so eager to see the progress that the miners are making, or failing to, that I don’t even unpack my belongings before watching Gold Rush Alaska for free On Demand!

Never having seen the show before, my boyfriend watched an episode with me last week. He’s now as interested in the fate of the miners as I am! With the show free On Demand, I’ll enjoy watching episodes a second time while my boyfriend catches up with the show’s current content. It’s great!

Foods That Increase Testosterone

I had to laugh the other day as I read an article about “foods that increase testosterone“. I mean seriously, does anyone really feel they need more testosterone in their life?? I feel that I have quite enough of it in my life, even too much of it sometimes. *LOL*

I don’t know, I suppose that this stuff would be interesting to some people, but to me it just seems silly.
